What changes for a business

For a house, the goal is to fix a problem. For a business, you also have to be able to prove it. A restaurant or grocery store answers to MAPAQ’s Regulation respecting food, a food plant to a CFIA preventive control plan, a daycare or school to the restrictions of the Pesticides Management Code, a seniors’ residence to the certification regulation for private residences, and a building owner to their obligations toward tenants.

These regimes have one thing in common: they are checked on paper. A visit log, a map of numbered stations and traps, reports showing activity over time and follow-up on requested corrections are often worth more, on inspection or audit day, than a treatment done the day before.
