Towns served on the South Shore and in Montérégie

Sixteen towns, grouped by regional county municipality (RCM) or agglomeration. For each one: the pests most often found there, and a link that opens the quote request with the town already selected. The request is routed by the town's zone.

Longueuil agglomeration

The urban core of the South Shore, tied to Montreal by the Jacques-Cartier, Samuel De Champlain and Victoria bridges, the metro and the REM. It is the only zone that combines the densest rental housing in the territory with large single-family neighbourhoods under mature trees: bed bugs and cockroaches in apartment buildings are as common here as carpenter ants and mice in the suburbs.

Roussillon RCM

The southwest of the South Shore, between the river and the Seaway. Saint-Constant has multiplied its population fivefold in fifty years and is crossed by three rivers; Candiac, founded in 1957, was planned with an industrial park; La Prairie keeps one of the oldest heritage sites in the region. In Châteauguay, wooded lots along the river and Lac Saint-Louis add strong carpenter-ant pressure.

Haut-Richelieu RCM

Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and its Iberville, Saint-Luc, L'Acadie and Saint-Athanase sectors, on both banks of the Richelieu River. An old brick-and-wood core, surrounded by neighbourhoods that sit right against large cultivated fields: Asian lady beetles are a major fall problem here.

La Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM

Chambly and Beloeil, two Richelieu River towns. Chambly has more than doubled its population since 1986: many newer houses whose soffits attract wasps. Beloeil keeps older residences along rue Richelieu, where river moisture favours carpenter ants.

Marguerite-D'Youville RCM

Sainte-Julie and Varennes, in the northeast of the territory, between Highways 20 and 30 and the river. Plenty of farmland and woods around the neighbourhoods, and a heritage core in Varennes: mice and Asian lady beetles in the fall, carpenter ants in older buildings and exterior wood.

La Haute-Yamaska RCM

Granby, where the Montérégie plain meets the woods of the Eastern Townships. Farther from the heart of the South Shore than the other towns served: availability there is more limited and never guaranteed in advance.

Why the territory is split into zones

No exterminator covers the whole South Shore the same way. Châteauguay and Varennes are more than 40 minutes apart, and Granby is an hour from Longueuil. Grouping towns by RCM routes each request by an area that can reasonably be covered.

The split also reflects conditions on the ground. Towns in the Longueuil agglomeration share denser, older housing; those in Roussillon, Haut-Richelieu and La Vallée-du-Richelieu are surrounded by farmland that completely changes the calendar for mice and Asian lady beetles.

Frequently asked questions

My town is not on the list. Can you still help?

Pick “Other town” in the quote form and type your town. The request is still routed, as an out-of-area request. No service is guaranteed outside the sixteen listed towns, even nearby, as in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Delson or Carignan.

Is Granby really part of the South Shore?

Not in the everyday sense. Granby is, however, in Montérégie like every other town served, and that administrative region is what defines this territory. Because the town is farther away, availability there is more limited and never guaranteed in advance.

Does the price change from town to town?

Price depends mostly on the pest, the size of the infestation and the number of visits. Some companies add a travel fee far from their base; if so, it is written into the quote, never added after the work.

Do you handle apartment buildings and businesses?

Yes. For a building in Longueuil or Brossard, the quote states how many units need to be inspected, because bed bugs and cockroaches move between units. Restaurants, warehouses and senior residences have their own commercial section.
