Otterburn Park has 8,479 residents as of the 2021 census and is part of La Vallée-du-Richelieu RCM. Covering 5.4 km² on the rivière Richelieu, the town is named after Otterburn, England, at the suggestion of Joseph Hickson, director of the Grand Tronc (Grand Trunk) railway.
